Felipe López, born on December 19, 1974, in Santiago, Dominican Republic, is a former professional basketball player who left an indelible mark on the sport both on and off the court. López's basketball prowess became evident at a young age. He attended Rice High School in New York City, where he quickly gained recognition as a rising star. His exceptional skills caught the attention of college recruiters across the nation, and he eventually committed to play for the St. John's University Red Storm.
